Question: We had arranged a medical camp at our village to help needy people and that camp was free of cost. We announced about the medical camp from Masjid so that maximum people could be aware of this camp and could be benefitted. Now Villagers are alleging us that You cannot use masjid for this purpose i.e., they are issuing some sort of Fatwa in this context. Kindly let us know if we did anything wrong here.

The mike of the mosque is for salah, azan and related matters. Other than the salah and azan, other things should not be announced through the mike of the mosque. For this, other means of announcement and publicity should be used.
